Saving and loading SQL scripts

You can save the SQL you write to a file and reload it later, so useful scripts are always available.

Saving a script

Choose SQL โ†’ Save SQL Script from the main menu (or Save SQL Script from the SQL window's pop-up menu), then choose a file name.

Loading a script

Choose SQL โ†’ Open SQL Script (or Open SQL Script from the SQL window's pop-up menu) and select the file. Its contents are loaded into the SQL window.

To reopen something you used recently, choose SQL โ†’ Open Recent SQL Script and pick from the list of the ten most recent files.

Tip

You can also load a script by dragging a .sql file from Windows Explorer straight onto the SQL window.
