Opening an existing database¶
Opening a database registers it in SQLite Expert and connects to it, so you can browse and edit its contents.
To open a database:
- Choose File → Open Database from the main menu (or File → Open Recent Database to pick one you used recently).
- Select the database file.
SQLite Expert connects to the database and lists all of its tables and views in the tree panel on the left. As with a new database, it suggests a default alias that you are free to change.
Tip
You can also open a database by dragging its file (with a .db3 extension, or any other extension you have registered) from Windows Explorer straight onto the tree panel.
