Importing data from another SQLite database¶
Use the Data Transfer Wizard to copy tables and views from another registered SQLite database into the selected one.
To import from another SQLite database:
-
Choose Import/Export โ Data Transfer Wizard from the main menu.

-
Click Next.

-
Select Import data into the selected database, then click Next.

-
On the Source page, select SQLite database, choose the alias of the source database, and click Next.

-
Choose the import options, then click Next. One of them, Continue on error, decides what a failure does to the rest of the run โ see When a transfer hits an error.

-
Select the types of objects to import (tables, views, and so on), then click Next.

-
Select the individual objects to import, then click Next.

-
Review the Ready to start page. Click Back to change anything, or Next to begin.

-
The wizard reports the table it is copying and how many rows of it have gone across, a bar with the percentage of the whole transfer inside it, and under that how long it has been running and how much longer it expects to take. You can click Cancel at any point during the transfer.

-
Click Finish to close the wizard.
Each table is created with its columns declared exactly as they are in the source database. Unlike the imports that work out a table's columns themselves, this one has no Column types choice to make โ see How an imported table declares its columns.
