Extending SQLite Expert using Scripting¶
SQLite Expert includes a scripting engine that lets you automate tasks and add functionality using Lua or Pascal. Scripts have full access to SQLite databases through a simple object API, so you can run queries, transform data, and display results — all from a script you write and run right inside the program, with no extra tools required.
Working with scripts¶
Everything happens on the Scripting tab:
- Choose a language with the Language combo box.
- Load or Save a script using the scripting pop-up menu.
- Execute a script using the Execute command on the scripting pop-up menu. Any errors are shown on the Output tab.
