Editing tables¶
Tables are where your data lives, and SQLite Expert's visual table designer lets you build and change them without writing SQL yourself. On the Design tab you can add and arrange columns, set a primary key, create indexes, foreign keys, and constraints, and attach triggers — all through dialogs, with a live preview of the SQL on the Change Script tab.
A key feature is that you can change a table's structure without losing its data. When you apply your changes, SQLite Expert applies them directly wherever SQLite allows it, and where it does not, rebuilds the table behind the scenes and copies the existing rows across for you. See Applying the changes after editing a table.
