Editing a view

To edit a view:

  1. Select the view in the tree panel.
  2. Go to the Design tab, where you can change the view's name and the SQL of its AS clause.

View triggers

A view is read-only by nature, but you can attach INSTEAD OF triggers to it so that inserts, updates, or deletes against the view are redirected to the underlying tables. Manage them on the Triggers sub-tab.

Applying changes

Click Apply to save your changes, or Cancel to discard them. Applying replaces the old view definition with the new one.

Note

SQLite Expert wraps the operation in a transaction. If an error occurs it is rolled back automatically, so you can correct the problem and try again.
