Creating a table¶
Creating a table opens the visual table designer, where you build the table's structure step by step and then apply it to the database.
To create a table:
-
Choose Object → New Table from the main menu, or New Table from the tree panel's pop-up menu. This opens the table designer.

-
Enter a name for the table.
- If you need a temporary table, tick Temporary. If you want a table without a rowid, tick Without RowID.
- Define the table's structure using the sub-tabs of the Design tab:
- Add columns and set their types.
- Set the primary key.
- Add indexes, foreign keys, and constraints.
- Add triggers.
- Apply the changes to create the table.
Tip
You don't have to define everything up front. Create the table with just its columns now, then edit it later to add indexes, keys, or triggers — SQLite Expert restructures the table without losing your data.
