Copying tables between databases using the clipboard

You can copy whole tables or views from one open database to another using the clipboard or drag and drop — structure and data together.

To copy tables or views between databases:

1. In the tree panel, select the source objects (hold Ctrl or Shift to select several), then press Ctrl+C or choose Copy from the pop-up menu.
2. Select the destination database, then press Ctrl+V or choose Paste from the pop-up menu.

The objects are recreated in the destination database inside a transaction — if anything fails, the whole operation is rolled back and nothing is copied.

Tip

You can also drag the selected objects from one database onto another directly in the tree panel.
