Copying data between tables using the clipboard

You can copy rows from one table and paste them into another through the clipboard, mapping the source columns to the destination columns as you go.

To copy data between tables:

  1. Select the source table and go to its Data tab.
  2. Select the rows you want (with the mouse or keyboard) and press Ctrl+C.
  3. Select the destination table, go to its Data tab, and press Ctrl+V.

  4. The Field Mapping dialog opens.

  5. Map each source field to a destination field, or click Auto to match them by name.

  6. Click OK.

Note

SQLite Expert performs the paste inside a transaction. If any row fails to insert, the whole operation is rolled back, so you never end up with a half-finished copy.
