Menus

Program main menu consists of such items:

• File:
  • Load DupFile List — loads duplicate file list saved before. File must be a type of DKL (DupKiller List) or CSV (Comma Separated Values). It may be opened or edited by any editor supporting such a format (e.g. Microsoft Excel);
  • Save DupFile List — saves list of duplicate files in DKL, CSV or HTML format;
  • Load Settings — loads program settings from file;
  • Save Settings — saves current settings into file;
  • Save settings on exit — if checked, saves values of all windows in registry. If to close program with this option unchecked, the next start all parameters of the previous seance will be restored;
  • HTML Preview — shows current list in HTML format;
  • Exit — quits program;
  • Also this menu helps load one of the last recently used lists.
• Edit:
  • Find/Find Next — searches a string in the list.
• Action:
  • Scan (or Pause/Continue) — begins/pauses/continues scanning;
  • Stop — breaks scanning.
• Language:
  • <Language_Name> — chooses selected interface language;
  • Download More Languages — opens web-page from where you can download additional language files.
• Window — duplicates items of navigation panel.
• Help:
  • Help — calls this help;
  • History — shows program history;
  • License Agreement — shows license agreement;
  • Known Bugs — contains descriptions of known DupKiller bugs;
  • Enter Registration Code — shows a window with a form where you can type your code to register DupKiller;
  • DupKiller Home Page — opens program home page in default browser;
  • Download More Plugins — opens web-page from where you can download plugins for DupKiller;
  • Download Newest Version — loads the freshest version of DupKiller from official site (it is recommended to close current version before installation of new one);
  • Check for Updates — check for newer version in the Internet;
  • Feedback — sends a letter to the author of DupKiller using default mail client;
    • Bug Report — sends a letter with notification about bugs found, or offer to enhance or edit some features;
    • Information Request — sends a letter with questions about DupKiller, its settings, use, etc;
  • About — shows window about program and its author.
